We look forward to welcoming you to SIDM’s The Future of Diagnosis: Navigating Uncertainty conference in the beautiful city of Utrecht in The Netherlands. We are excited to reengage in-person since our last live European conference in Switzerland in 2018.
As an organization, SIDM has intensified its commitment to serving the patient by achieving excellence in diagnosis. Our theme for the SIDM2023 Utrecht conference, the Future of Diagnosis: Navigating Uncertainty, will bring together thought leaders working to eliminate harm from diagnostic error through education, research, practice improvement, and patient engagement.
We welcome diverse, dynamic, and leading voices during our plenary sessions. We’ll also have lively panel discussions, oral presentations, workshops, clinical reasoning on stage, and plenty of time for networking with colleagues. Our preconference course is a great session for newcomers to the field as well as serving as a refresher for anyone looking for best practices and foundational knowledge.
SIDM’s mission is important to every one of us because at the end of the day, we are all patients and have family members who are patients. This year’s European conference looks carefully at the subtleties that drive us to continue to improve and excel at the art and science of diagnosis so that we can one day realize a world where no patient is harmed from diagnostic erro. Please join us as we collaborate and inspire one another to teach, connect, and navigate uncertainty to drive positive change.
